This plan links the capital city with its twinned medina buy establishing a modern mixed use district on unused land along the river valley and links the urban settlements together with an open space system, new roads and much needed residential development in several neighbourhoods.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Located on a peninsula at the confluence of the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea this new economic city has tourism and recreation as one of the key economic pillars that will give the new community its viability establishing it as a desirable place to visit, live and work in.

The international destination of Sharm el Sheikh is a short distance across the Straight of Tiran from this new city which in addition to tourism and recreation will have several complimentary economic pillars organized along a central spine with residential neighborhoods.

Netherland Antilles

This strategic master plan for the island nation was developed over twenty years focusing on seven key initiatives all within an island-wide framework of open space and targeted development areas. The concept was to improve the visitor offering and consequently increase the length of stay, rather than increase bed capacity and more visitors.

The standard of living for residents was raised to be one of the highest within the Caribbean region, in part due to this planning process and strategic integrated initiatives.

Waterfront expansion and revitalization plan

The City of Hamilton has one of the most beautiful waterfronts and harbors worldwide, however over the years there have been several attempts to alter this iconic island waterfront to accommodate a new generation of Panamax cruise ships. This plan does so within an economically viable framework and enhances the quality and character of this historic waterfront.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Sorouh Real Estate PJSC in joint ownership with Mubadala Development are transforming this twenty year old manufactured island into a new tourist and residential district for Abu Dhabi.

The vision aligns with that of the Government’s as outlined in Plan Abu Dhabi 2030:
To develop Lulu Island as a primary site for Abu Dhabi’s people, unfolding the history, achievements, personality and culture of the city – creating a memorable place to visit.
To integrate the island as a new district – one that would reflect the emergence of the UAE’s capital as a global city and a gateway of the Middle East.

A strategic plan for the worlds deepest lake 


Kyrgyz Republic, Central Asia

Working on behalf of several NGO’s, senior RMW staff developed a regional development and preservation plan that established the spatial framework for public and private investment around the largest and deepest fresh water lake that never freezes, even in the harshest of winters. This remarkable body of water and its surrounding watershed contain one of the worlds most interesting natural setting and range of human settlements.
